smoking can be so elegant at times... ohhh.

The following blog is not to promote smoking in any such way or influence your minds into taking up this habit….

As many do too, I love indulging in the odd bit of photography and I am fond of pretty much anything beautiful and intricate. However, I am pretty rubbish at taking photos myself… oh well, I guess I can only sit back and let others inspire me with their fabulous skills! Although, I can be fussy when it comes to the genre/era of photography :(

Personally I am not a fan of cigarettes; nevertheless they can look ever so classy when Audrey Hepburn is lingering nonchalantly with a cigarette in a long black cigarette holder held up by her elegant hand which is noticeably covered in her significant black glove. Is it wrong to admire a cigarette in this way? Or am I merely appreciating her style and individuality?

I hope these pictures enthral you the same way they did me…

SOCKS + SANDLAS ??

The No. 1 fashion rule : NEVER WEAR SOCKS WITH SANDALS.

What did I choose to do? WEAR socks WITH sandals. I think it looks totally urbanly turbanly FABULOUS ! Why shouldn’t we??! If everyone is avoiding the trend, to be different and stand out, I have decided to buy a pair of socks (and sandals actually-preferably heeled) and BAM, I’ve got myself a FASHION STATEMENT !

This is where I got my inspiration from … Burberry’s Prorsum 2010- OH YESSS !!!

I HOPE to blog about my matching socks and sandals, when I have successfully purchased them :D Although, I popped into the over pretentious Jack Wills (in Richmond) and found some discounted socks reduced from £12.50 to something like £9.50, which I immediately had the urge to buy… but they were rather thick and I have decided I do not want thick socks for the summer, but then it hit me… I don’t really want ANY socks for the summer… sweaty feet? No thanks.. But fashion feet? YES PLEASE ! Still on the HUNTTTTT….

I would love for you to tell me what you think??And please, feel free to follow… as you can see I only have 7 TREMENDOUS MAGNIFICENT AND FAITHFUL followers, but 8 would be just great !

Much love, Niki x x x x

found it !

After reading my monthly dosage of Glamour the other day, I fortunately stumbled across the most charmingly delicate dress EVERRR... exactly identical to a Valentino Dress which I had my "eye" on... (mind's eye) but as the Valentino one was just over £2000, I kinda gave up on it.

Gosh, I could die for this ...

The Met Gala above...

But then to my delight I found this one from ASOS…. Which is not too dissimilar from the Valentino ones. There is definitely a hint of Valentinpsiration there, no??

Does anyone see the amazing discovery?? I really want it.. no no… I NEED IT! Advise??

utTeRly bUtterly lovErly

I have JUST discovered a new breed of handbags online and they are absolutely divine :) Personally, I am not familiar with the brand, but I am guessing it is quite eminent –Coach. As the oversized clutch is seen to be held by all, Coach do the loveliest ones with a certain inspiration from Mulberry, do you think not?? (look below) It’s probably the chains and the shape of the bags that give it that edge and individuality. Having said this, and praised the brand, I regret to inform you that the prices are a “little” higher than I had hoped for … but what can we do??

Which ones are you fond of??

It does seem to be a celebrity trend as well, Isla Fisher, Kim Kardashian and Hayden Panetierre have all been spotted with a COACH bag, some way or another...

A trend? Possibly...

Dior Shanghai 2010

Taken by John Galliano, this elegant and delicate sixties-chic cruise collection inspired by the French New Wave (Nouvelle Vague) is in perfect keeping with the spring/summer season which is fast approaching. Not only is the timing of this new inspiration of hair and fashion ideal, it works in great contrast with other collections which will soon also be dominating the streets. For example, the khaki trend and so forth. Dior has brilliantly brought back class, I believe, in a graceful and tantalizing new way; so therefore we MUST appreciate our femininity to the max this summer and Dior has wonderfully demonstrated the class and poise of the female nature. I have always been a huge fan for this style of hair (EXACCTLY like in Hairspray- the best everrr musical to ever be performed) so I definitely want to try it out, although I doubt my hair will uphold a fantastic do like that :( Nevertheless, I have found some of the collection. Be inspired, I know I will be ...

Monokini.

A monokini is, in essence, the combination of a bikini and a one-piece, where the top and bottom are connected usually via the middle torso.

The scandalous ’60s bathing suit was worn by the likes of Kim Kardashian and Audrina Patridge and designed by the well known designers such as Victoria's Secret... Why? Because this fabulous piece of swimwear hides the negative bits and accentuates the curves with its strategically placed cut-outs. This bandage-themed, dare-to-bare line of swimsuits inspired Hervé Léger in creating possibly THE nicest range of swim wear. They were a typical example of spring’s extreme cut-out, knock-em-dead pieces that appeared on the runways of Spring 2009. The down side? The risk of odd or unflattering tan lines L

From Hervé Léger SS collection last year designed by Max Azaria…

I am aware that this was last year’s bikini trend, however I believe it to be a shame that we did not see enough of it, no?? So I am still on the hunt for the perfect MONOKINI with the combinations of colours unique shape. Which ones are your favourites? ….

Anyone else weirdly obsessed with this old/gorge style of swimsuits? Tell me...
