An Almost Perfect Equation?

As many are, I am quite fond of gingham and wanted to share with you something I will be making. Unfortunately, I do not possess good sewing skills (or a sewing machine at that ... ) but nevertheless, I will hand sew if that is what it takes!

What do you think about this Christopher Kane SS10 superb number....?

Well… what about this MUCH cheaper one from New Look (which may I add is on sale for a shocking £15!)

Add a bit of lace with a few rough (and by that I mean ROUGH!) stitches here and there… you might just about be able to pull the designer look off.. What do you think??

An alternative to the lace might be this beautiful crop top from New Look..

However I have not yet figured out how I could incorporate this into the dress…. Any ideas??

You can also check out the rest of this utterly fabulous gingham collection by Christopher Kane ici…

Glorious Vintage Furniture

I do love shopping around and trying to find the most antiquey looking pieces of furniture for my bedroom. And as I was browsing... I found this website...

http://www.villagechic.co.uk/page10.php

Unfortunately it is a little on the expensive side... but just look at their magnificent furniture...

From Top Left....

Antique White Bow Fronted Chest of Drawers - £300

French Vintage Louis XV Cabinet - £595

Shabby Chic Bedside table Chest of Drawers - £180

Louis Shabby Chic Style Dressing Table Set - £365

Despite the fact I try and find good bargains, I also adore Mitzi B (an Interior Designer in Teddington) it has the most delightful and charming pieces of furniture and I was luck enough to purchase my own dressing table from there.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find the website to present some gorgeous images (I guess you will just have to visit it for yourselves), but I did find the front of the shop…

And the address ….

Perfumes Make the World Smell Lovely

Where did it begin?? Well, I was in the airport about to embark on the BESTEST journey evver... to Iran, when I was sampling (ie. spraying myself ...) some perfumes. I tried Yves-Saint Laurent's absolutely FABULOUS Elle.... The smell captivated me into a sudden mystical fantasy, with its sweet lingering essence on my headscarf (for Iran) and with such delicate and luxurious smell... I NEEDED IT.....

The bottle was slightly disappointing ,which is downside for me :( but not to worry because it was pink after all :D

But still, that couldn't overpower the delightfully irresistible smell.

However much I seemed to be enthralled by that heavenly fragrance... I have two more on my list :DD

I adore the (quite) new perfume by Nina Ricci.. Ricci Ricci... With the wonderful adverts on all the magazine pages, the campaign had edge and portrayed a very innocent yet exquisite interpretation of life.

The bottle is very appealing, no??

Next up, my most expensive favourite by Christian Dior - Miss Dior Cherie. This fragrance actually defines the words IMPECCABLE. It was absolutely and utterly divine and I have not come across a scent as perfect as this. (maybe elle..) But the bottle is gorgeous… do you not agree??

Rebel Against Normality and Rejoice With the Absurd.

Having spent useless hours of rummaging through the internet, and doing absolutely nothing productive :(( I have decided to feature a new celeb every week and share delightful pictures of them, to highlight their besstttestt moments :) not hard.... celebs deem to be perfect.. grrr .

So this week, I have chosen.......

OLIVIA PALERMO :D

She has been my style icon for over 2 months now and I utterly adore her sweet and smooth complexion as well as her up-to-date fashion wardrobe, which she proudly prances around in on a day to day basis. Lucky sod ;p

This is perfectly demonstrated ici....

With unbelievably clear and flawless skin, she is just so blessed to have such a unique look, which I am sure many young girls will aspire to have and admire. OOhh,, but does she not look gorge with that pooch?? Must be the fame...

How could one forget her fabulous fashion sense and the most a-mazing clothes. I think it is fair to say that she know HOW to dress, WHAT to where and WHERE, do you not think??

Precisely...

Here is my top 4 but only a snippet of her fabulousness...

Number 4.

THE SHOES?!?! J’adore ! The statement shoes are a great way to make the “suit” like outfit more interesting. By wearing different contrasting shades of grey, there isn’t much going on, and then BAM… the shoes ! Yellow is dazzling and works quite nicely with the gold layered necklace making it EXTRA astounding.

Number 3.

Olivia is loving the florals and patters, no? Her sweet innocent glance really goes in perfect contrast with the dress, which is so simple yet extremely flattering and ravishing. The shape, instead of dragging her body down, elevates her and accentuates her tremendous figure (has anyone noticed her extra-knobbly knees?!?!). And if Topshop has a dress like this, I WANT IT. The black clutch adds a formal touch making all that bit more GLAM GLAM GLAM !

Number 2.

The colours? LOVE LOVE LOVE ! It is most certainly not a collection of colours and shades I would ever have considered fixating, but Palermo has done it excellently and SUPERBLY! And fully establishing a defined and articulate evening look, by using the darker deeper colours. I also adore her statement necklace. The jewels jazz this outfit up and it also draws attention to her neck upwards, which is a definite positive. Adding the jacket suggests a conserved look and approaches a classy sophisticated lady.

Number 1.

With this absolutely wonderful look, she has definitely achieved the preppy meets Gossip Girl, and boy can she pull it off… The different materials and textures give the whole outfit a sense of authenticity and originality. I admire her courage to put the hood up and it defoooo adds colour to the whole thing.

Lots of Love

Iran - A Nation of Aryans (Yes,that's right, the same as the Germans)

As I mentioned earlier, I am Iranian and very proud of my heritage. The unique and extremely hospitable culture is so (not to brag here) remarkable and marvellously delightful, and as the Persian Empire was a vast and powerful empire which stretched from the Mediterranean to the River Indus, the culture has fortunately developed over these many years and now we can explore various elements of this complex nation. I visit my family in Iran every two years or so, and these are a few pictures of Iranian streets from previous FANTABULOUSS holidays...

I also have some astounding photography of the Iranian scenery... andddd of Esfehan, the world's most beautiful city in the world. Google it.

More cultural stuff to come, if you haven’t got bored yet ;p x x x x

Cutey Pie ...

After browsing through topshop.com, and the real life Topshop, I found a few cute pieces that I thought would be superb for summer! And as both of them are pastely coloured, they would match with pretty much anything ! YAY for easy matchable items !

Here is the first... it is a cropped Peter Pan Mesh Spotty Top... Gosh, that was a typeful !

......

Gorge, no??

The next one is thinner and cottonyerr...

Have a look... I have to say big shoulders, even though they were kind of last year, are still my fave! Purely because they make your body so much nicer and shape it beautifully... And if you are broad shouldered, then hiding them under giant embellished shoulders is simply the way ! YES!

Gotta love the colour... pale and sweet :))

But moving on slightly for summer, only so that we don't get ourselves too excited :(

Chanel do the most utterly fabulous stuff, do you not agree? That is an understatement... However, this coat I luckily found in Topshop has a rather Chanel-esque look to it....

Now here is the Chanel look-a-like...

By the by, the one on the left is my all time favourite celeb (not forgetting to mention Olivia Palermo from The City) - Diane Kruger. I can not even begin to explain her outstanding complexity and amazing physique. I can only admire her ... and with amazing clothes, I can only envy her...

HigH sTreET aNd DeSIGneR

I envy every single celebrity who earns more money than they can even spend. Walking down the streets in their designer clothes and designer handbags and designer make up, yep-you guessed it, DESIGNER shoes and Starbucks coffee, celebrities get to show off their money as they strut their stuff. Jealous much? Well, I am... a lottt...
But if one bothers to think about it, you can easily adapt their style to a cheaper one.. (like haven't thought of than one before!)

Compare this Alexander Wang leather insert cotton sweatshirt dress...

to the above, almost similar, sweat from Topshop

From Net-A-Porter.com...

"All American sportswear gets a fashion-forward infusion with Alexander Wang's cutout gray cotton sweatshirt dress with brown leather shoulder inserts. Finish this bold silhouette with sporty heels to walk the look straight off the runway."

Impressed yet? Let me know... comments are words of joy :)
